Spaceium Technologies

Providing a range of services to support business in their journey into the commercial space sector.

How Spaceium Technologies can help you…

We offer a range of services that help traditional manufacturing companies develop a commercial space strategy, looking at how they can adapt their products and services to furthering human habitation in outer space. By providing them with a long-term investment strategy, it uniquely places them ahead of their competitors in an emerging market for domestic and industrial goods in an extra-terrestrial setting.

In 1975, Bill Gates started Microsoft. Now worth $456 billion

In 1998, Larry Page and Sergey Brin started Google. Now worth $1.7 trillion

In 2003 Elon Musk started Tesla. Now worth $1.6 trillion

Why develop your commercial space strategy now?

Entrepreneurs don’t usually wait to follow the market, they are always at the vanguard of the adoption of new industries and technologies. From pioneers of the Industrial revolution such as Brunel and Stephenson, to Henry Ford’s adoption of assembly line production, and more latterly digital giants such as Gates, Jobs and Musk. By developing a commercial space strategy now, you can get ahead of your competitors by taking your brand and reputation into a new era of space travel.

Don’t miss your “google moment”, the time to act and invest in the commercial space industry is now!

Emerging Technologies

Currently orbital space travel is a hazardous environment with the need for a small number of people to become specialised in a wide range of skills, however as populations increase to the general public, the need to be able to design, fabricate and operate a wide range of technically advanced equipment becomes essential. Key technologies are emerging in support of this, not only taking care of the physical safety of both passengers and vessels; but also addressing their psychological needs for connectedness during a long journey.

3D Printing

Remote manufacturing of every day and bespoke items without the need for complex production facilities.

Robotics

Physical automation of hazardous or repititive tasks where a broad set of expert skills can be provided via robotics to support a small population or workforce

Virtual / Augmented Reality

Providing humans with AI-driven augmented tools to assist in complex tasks, or to provide virtual environments to alleviate space-bound ‘cabin fever’

Sensory Design

Giving spacefarers familiar earth-like sensations in confined environments to promote feelings of well-being

Environment & Hygiene

Providing a healthy and hygienic environment in the harsh conditions of space

The Commercial Argument for Space

A European union report stated that in 2017 the global space economy reached a size of £261 billion and predicted that space tourism, energy, mining, processing and assembly would become important business areas for investment. More recently

UBS, an international wealth and investment fund stated in an article that over the next 10 years high speed travel via outer space will represent an annual market of at least $20 billion and compete with long-distance airline flights. UBS expects the broader space industry, which is worth about $400 billion today, will double to $805 billion by 2030.

This is mirrored by the exponential growth in the number of commercial space launches authorised by the Federal Aviation Authority which is seeing year on year growth mirroring the adoption of other key technologies such as the home computer, mobile phone and the internet.

The UK Space Agency embarked on the National Space Technology Programme, Phase 2 in 2018, and already developed 7 patent applications

The UK is also supporting international efforts to return humans to the Moon by tobuilding components of the Lunar Gateway – a new space station that will orbit the Moon and provide a key stepping stone for human and robotic expeditions to the lunar surface.
